Forum news:

New build of Auctioneer Advanced and Auctioneer Classic available - r3087
Folks,

Preview build r3087 is now available for download, for both Auctioneer Advanced (AA) and Auctioneer Classic (AC).

Please note that you _MUST_ update both AA and AC if you have both installed, even if you only "really use" one or the other.

Installation Notes:
  • This release will update your BeanCounter database, which cannot be reverted. If you think you might wish to revert at some point, you MUST make a back-up of your SV files prior to installing and running this new version.

  • Major new features implemented since r3049:
  • BeanCounter mail routines have been re-written to be more compact, and all displayed data should now be collected properly again. Note: as written above, this will non-reversibly update your BeanCounter data.
  • Fixes bug with Appraiser stacksize changes not being saved or used properly
  • Appraiser will no longer use excessive CPU cycles
  • You should no longer hear the sounds of all your items being picked up when loading the Appraiser pane
  • Appraiser will now update warning texts properly when changing items
  • Appraiser competition purchase and SearchUI now properly bid on no-buyout auctions
  • Converter, Vendor searchers now available in SearchUI (development still ongoing, there may be bugs still)
  • AutoMagic can now optionally "suggest" in tooltip what you should do with items: auction, d/e, vendor, etc., and can optionally use these suggestions when using mail functionality. Great for items you bought outside of BTM, so they don't have a reason code supplied.

  • Enjoy!

  • Your current auctions now optionally displayed on left and right panes of Appraiser
  • Adds a new statistic: Auc-Stat-Sales, which will let Appraiser base prices on your actual BeanCounter 3- or 7-day sales history
  • Undercut matcher now allows for specific undercut amounts (e.g. 1 copper)
  • BeanCount matcher now has mix/max settings
  • Fixes bug with BTM Snatch GUI which would blow away all your earlier BTM ignore settings. Regrettably, there is no way to recover data which was previously deleted.

New build of Auctioneer Advanced and Auctioneer Classic available - r2887
    Folks,

Preview build r2887 is now available for download, for both Auctioneer Advanced (AA) and Auctioneer Classic (AC).

Please note that you _MUST_ update both AA and AC if you have both installed, even if you only "really use" one or the other.

Please also note that you should update to this version if you are getting the strsplit() or SetUIPanel errors: "attempt to call global 'SetUIPanel' (a nil value)" or "strsplit(): Stack overflow". If you're getting these errors, you probably are still running r2662, most likely you just forgot to update AC.

This version will once again upgrade your BeanCounter history database, so be sure to back your BeanCounter data up prior to upgrading if you think you may want to return to a previous version.

    New features implemented since r2815:
  • The SlideBar no longer remains open
  • Prospecting code added to Enchantrix, with new percentages from Wowhead
  • Adds a new statistic: Auc-Stat-Sales, which will let Appraiser base prices on your actual BeanCounter sales history
  • Updates to BeanCounter (once again, beancounter database is changing, make a backup if you want to be fully backwards capable)
  • Some updates to Auc-Util-AutoMagic (auto disenchanting, mailbox features)
  • Continued noodling with the GetAll functionality (once again, use at your own risk, this feature may cause disconnects)
  • New BTM snatch UI
  • Fixed prices can now be price matched
  • Deposit costs added to Auto-Magic tooltip as a temporary fix
  • * Column widths on our tabs can now be adjusted per session (not yet savable across sessions)

    Considering moving to GPLv3
We as a team, are considering moving our mods from the current GPLv2 license to GPLv3 (and from LGPLv2.1 to LGPLv3 for those mods that use the LesserGPL license). This thread is a request for comments (RFC) from anyone possibly affected by this change.

For the end-user this should be a non-issue, the only people affected by this change would be those that actually use the code in Auctioneer and Gatherer in other mods. However, since we are a community, we would like to hear from you before making this change.

This thread will stay open (and moderated) until we make our determination. Post facts, not flames.
